How to remove a background

  1. Press Remove a background. A page opens with your uploads beside it.
  2. Drop a photo onto the page, or choose one with Upload pictures.
  3. Pick the photo and press Remove background in the bar. The first time, the model downloads once (about 115 MB) and is kept for next time; after that each photo takes a second or two.
  4. Not happy? Restore brings the original back.
  5. Put the cut-out on a new background or a template, or download it alone as PNG, no background.

Your photo stays yours

Many background removers upload your photo to a server. This one doesn't: the model comes to your browser instead, so the photo stays on your device the whole time.

Questions

Which browsers does it work in?

It needs WebGPU, which current Chrome, Edge and Safari have. If your browser doesn't, Pozzly tells you when you press the button.

Is there a limit?

No limit and no credits. It runs on your computer, so it costs us nothing to let you do as many as you like.

Does the transparent background survive export?

Yes, in PNG, SVG and PDF. JPG has no transparency, so a JPG gets a white background.
